Sponsored Projects Accounting (SPA) is excited to share an important update aimed at improving our customer service and operational efficiency. As part of our ongoing efforts to better serve the research community, SPA has formed a dedicated Award Setup Team and merged the DHHS Team and Other Government Team into one team, which will now be called the Government Grants Team.
Key Updates:
Award Setup Team Key Responsibilities
The Award Setup Team will specialize in processing and setup in Workday of all notice of awards for SPA awards and will provide Institutional Signature on non-JROC negotiated contracts. Transaction types that should be sent to this team:
- Project Activations
- Notice of Awards (initial, continuations, admin revisions, no cost extension…etc)
- Allocation and Cost Share requests
- Worktag updates

Merger of DHHS and Other Government Teams
The newly formed Government Grants Team will merge the DHHS and Other Government team and will be managed by Devin Bennett. This team will manage ALL federal grants. Departments can contact the team using either spadhhsgrants@wustl.edu or othergovtgrants@wustl.edu.
