Trainings for Researchers

Compliance Trainings

Below are the major compliance trainings required for the research community. Most mandatory trainings are assigned in Learn@Work based on HR data or by the completion of the Compliance Profile. All members of the research community are encouraged to complete the compliance profile at the start of a new position or when job responsibilities change.

Certificates

Certificates of completion for courses are available through Workday Learning. Generate Certificate of Completion provides instructions on generating a certificate for yourself or someone else.

Reporting

Administrators may pull reports to verify compliance through Workday Learning. See Reporting on Training in Workday for information on access and how to pull Learning reports.

Students, academic affiliates, and guests do not use the links to courses above. The Extended Enterprise Learner page includes instructions for logging into Workday Extended Enterprise and reporting on these learners. Workday also has a tutorial to Access Extended Enterprise Learning in Workday.

STAR Program

The STAR Program provides a variety of training, development, and networking opportunities to research administrators. RAs will gain knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career. The STAR program allows Research Administrators to

  • Improve grants administration expertise
  • Create promotional paths, encourage and enhance professional development, and retain qualified staff
  • Enhance support for faculty
  • Strengthen compliance efforts and reduce risk
  • Foster interdepartmental communications and knowledge sharing.
