Dear WashU research community,
We continue to work as quickly as possible to provide additional guidance in response to new communications from our federal sponsors.
Federal agencies are increasing scrutiny of grant applications and Research Performance Progress Reports (RPPRs) to identify fraud, waste, and abuse. RPPRs must be submitted on time and not contain any potential misrepresentations.
To assist researchers with identifying potential misrepresentations within grant applications and RPPRs, the OVCR has provided a guidance document with examples of misrepresentation and tips to avoid it.
In addition, Sponsored Projects Accounting has developed a new procedure and tracking tool for non-cancelable commitments on grants or contracts that receive terminations, stop work orders, or sponsor directed pauses in work notices.
Visit the OVCR website for the latest information. Updates are posted frequently.
Sincerely,
