MDClone 102 – A Follow-Up Session with Intermediate Topics

1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m.

Prerequisite: MDClone 101 – An Introductory MDClone Training

WashU MDClone is a free, secure, self-service platform that allows the WashU research community to query Electronic Health Record (EHR) from the I2DB Research Data Core (RDC) prior to receiving IRB approval. This is possible because MDClone generates computationally derived (‘synthetic’) data. Since the synthetic data do not contain protected health information (PHI), their use is not classified as human participant research. Visit the MDClone Demonstration Videos page for recorded tutorials. The MDClone datalake includes visits, conditions, surgeries, procedures, lab and microbiology results, medications ordered and administered, and much more! It is especially valuable for recruitment feasibility for grant applications, identifying clinical data for research, and querying measures related to clinical operations (e.g. length of stay).

During this MDClone 102 session, you will learn:

  • Combined events
  • Advanced filtering
  • Custom expressions
  • Common pitfalls of time relation

Registration is required.
