Extended Enterprise Learners

Workday Extended Enterprise Learning is an extension of Workday Learning that allows Guests, Non-Worker Students, and Academic Affiliates to access compliance training in Workday Learning.

Student workers (students paid by WashU) should complete training on their worker profile in Workday. Using a regular course link or the main Workday Learning login defaults to the worker profile.

Accessing Training

Extended Enterprise (EE) Learners can login using the Workday Extended Enterprise Learning ONE task.

  • Click Launch Task
  • In the Microsoft Sign in window, enter your WashU email
  • Login using the WashU key screen, including Duo two factor if required
  • Navigate to the Learning application
  • Assigned training is listed under Required for You on the Learning Home page

EE Learners can also use a direct link to a course. To generate the EE-specific link, copy the course link and paste it in the TrainLink Generator. Course links for major compliance courses are posted on the Trainings for Researchers page

Troubleshooting

I landed on a course page but there is not a button to start or enroll.
You are most likely in the standard instance of Workday, not the Extended Enterprise instance. Follow the login steps above to access the Workday Extended Enterprise.

I am in the Extended Enterprise instance of Workday, but I do not see the course I need.
The course may not currently be available to Extended Enterprise Learners. Contact the office that owns the course or submit a ServiceNow ticket to investigate the issue.

I am a faculty or staff member trying to assign training to a person and they do not show up in the list of individuals on RPT7261 – Find Learners to Enroll.
Extended Enterprise Learners are not on the regular enrollment report. Use RPT7261C – WU – Find Non-Worker Learners to enroll or assign for EE Learners.

Reporting on Extended Enterprise Learner Completions

Those with access to Learning records also have access to Extended Enterprise Learning records. To include Extended Enterprise Learners on reports, check the box for “Include Extended Enterprise Individuals.”

All Extended Enterprise Individuals will pull into the report results that meet the prompt criteria. If you selected a Supervisory Organization (SupOrg), the report results will still include all EE Learners. EE learners do not have a SupOrg. There is some identifying information for each learner in the last columns of the report.

Student workers have two profiles – one for being a worker and an Extended Enterprise account. If you are running a report by a person’s name, select both profiles and check the Include Extended Enterprise Learner checkbox.
