Research Analytics

An evolving suite of interactive dashboards for analyzing extramural funding.

Monday.com

WashU is launching Monday.com, a workflow and project management tool to help standardize pre- and post-award research administration. Research Administrators at WashU can use Monday.com to manage their workflow from proposal submission to award setup.

STAR Program

STAR Certificate

The STAR program offers a certificate signed by the Vice Chancellor of Research and requiring 40 credit hours of STAR courses. Courses include training in pre-award, post-award, procurement, payroll, and reporting. Participants who complete all requirements for the certificate demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of research administration.

STAR RA Bootcamps

In cooperation with the STAR Advisory Board, the STAR Program has developed training workshops for both pre-award and post-award for Research Administrators. Bootcamp provides high-level training, focusing on topics that are applicable university-wide. It additionally promotes team building and development of a support network.

STAR Research Administration Internship Program

The STAR Research Administration Internship is designed to provide ambitious participants with meaningful exposure to the research administration operations of an internationally-ranked research university. The internship provides a first-hand introduction to research administration through observation, participation, and project work. For information, contact: star@wustl.edu.

Animal Studies Education

Researchers working with animal models must complete regulatory online training modules to ensure animals are used appropriately and humanely. The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), Division of Comparative Medicine (DCM), and Research Education & Information (REI) are redesigning these trainings to include the most current and relevant information.

Research Development Office

The Research Development Office guides faculty in the pursuit of research funding, the formation of cross-disciplinary science teams, and the development of collaborative research center proposals.
