Today marks the beginning of National Postdoc Appreciation Week (NPAW) 2025, a time to recognize the outstanding contributions of postdoctoral appointees across WashU.
Nearly 1,000 postdocs advance research, mentor students, and strengthen our academic community. Their work drives progress across disciplines and has a lasting impact locally and globally. We are proud to support and celebrate them as valued members of our university.
To mark the occasion, the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs has organized events and shared ways for faculty and staff to show their appreciation. I encourage you to thank a postdoc and take part in this week’s activities.
Sincerely,
Mark E. Lowe, MD, PhD
Vice Chancellor for Research
Senior Associate Dean for Research, School of Medicine
Harvey R. Colten Professor of Pediatric Science
