The Pediatric Clinical Research Unit (PCRU) provides space, nursing and bionutritional support for clinical research projects conducted with children at Washington University in St. Louis. The current unit is on the 11th floor of St. Louis Children’s Hospital and has exam and interview room space, a procedure area, and a phlebotomy and sample processing area.
Core Description
The PCRU is a clinical unit within the Center for Applied Research Sciences (CARS) a Washington University in St. Louis Institute of Clinical and Translational (ICTS) associated core. The PCRU operates an out-patient clinical research unit for studies requiring pediatric participants. The PCRU is staffed Monday – Friday from 7am to 4:30pm -with other hours available as needed.
