The Emerge Accelerator connects U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) mission partners (e.g., operational units, defense laboratories, etc.) with long horizon technology missions to the deep technology and talent residing at WashU. Over an academic year, participating university partners throughout the DIU Network identify technology and teams working in areas of interest to the DoD and accelerate the development of new dual-use (i.e., applicable to the commercial and DoD market) ventures using extant entrepreneurial educational and accelerator programs.

Emerge Accelerator at WashU

WashU, working in partnership with DIU, will identify technology and teams that are developing solutions relevant to the needs of DoD technology vertical customers participating in the pilot. With the support of existing institutional entrepreneurship programs and resources, Emerge teams will accelerate technology from TRL 4 to TRL 6+ and form new dual-use ventures that spin out university technologies.

This is program is open to international students and US citizens. Anyone with an affiliation to WashU may apply including faculty, graduate students, undergraduate students, and alumni.
