11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Join Ishwar Chandramouliswaran, Lead Program Director at the NIH’s Office of Data Science Strategy, for a comprehensive webinar on the FAIR Data and Resources Unit’s strategy and initiatives. This unit is dedicated to modernizing the biomedical data resource ecosystem through leadership, strategic planning, and NIH-wide coordination.

Key activities include:

  • Advancing NIH initiatives for the storage, management, and integration of diverse data by supporting data repositories and knowledge bases (DRKB program).
  • Advocating for and coordinating the adoption of FAIR data principles and practices (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable).
  • Enhancing the reusability and sustainability of research software and encouraging open software development practices.
  • Building partnerships with communities, societies, and international entities to enhance education and implementation of FAIR practices.

Gain insights into the NIH strategic plan for data science, explore collaboration opportunities, and learn how to promote/adopt FAIR data practices in biomedical research. This webinar will consist of a 1-hour presentation and 30 minutes for Q&A.

Registration closes Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 5 p.m.
