RIS is hosting a hands-on training session, Introduction to Command Line. Designed to familiarize users with the command line, especially the Linux-based command line, and with navigating the Compute2 Platform via the command line.
What you’ll learn:
- The Fundamentals: The basic Linux command line commands.
- Navigating File Systems: How to use the command line to navigate files and data.
- Submitting Jobs: How to use a Job Scheduler (Slurm) and submit jobs on the Compute2 Platform.
Why attend:
As research evolves, the need for HPC resources increases, and these needs can exceed what is possible through Open OnDemand (OOD). This seminar provides the basics to move beyond.
Prerequisites: This training is for users with little to no knowledge of HPC systems. There are no real prerequisites. If you would like to follow along, you will need a RIS Compute2 account. To get access to Compute2, please get onboarded to RIS.
This training will take place on Zoom; you will automatically receive a calendar invite that includes the Zoom link after registration.
