RIS is hosting a hands-on training session, Beyond the Basics: Unlocking RIS. Designed to take users from the basics to understanding how to improve their analyses, handle their data, and use HPC systems.
What you’ll learn:
- Upgrading Jobs:Moving from Open OnDemand or Interactive jobs to batch-style jobs.
- Data Management:Data life cycles. Using Scratch vs Storage
- Monitoring Jobs:Job resources and resource efficiency.
- Managing Software:Identifying how best to manage user software.
Why attend:
The basics are often not enough when it comes to doing analyses on HPC systems. This seminar helps users move beyond the basics of HPC.
Prerequisites: This training is for users with little to no knowledge of HPC systems. There are no real prerequisites. If you would like to follow along, you will need a RIS Compute2 account. To get access to Compute2, please get onboarded to RIS.
This training will take place on Zoom; you will automatically receive a calendar invite that includes the Zoom link after registration.
