This session will show how using consistent colors, fonts, and design choices—especially those aligned with WashU’s visual identity—can make data easier for audiences to understand. We’ll introduce core data visualization best practices and demonstrate how a shared data visualization style guide strengthens clarity and consistency across communication materials, including reports, executive summaries, dashboards, and presentations. Participants will see practical examples, learn straightforward design tips they can apply right away, and explore how a style guide can support clear, credible, and consistent visuals across projects.
