MDClone 102 – A Follow-Up Session with Intermediate Topics

11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

MDClone is a free, secure, self-service platform that allows you to query Electronic Health Record (EHR) data from the I2DB Research Data Core (RDC) prior to receiving IRB approval. This is possible because MDClone generates computationally derived (‘synthetic’) data. Since the synthetic data do not contain protected health information (PHI), their use is not classified as human participant research. Visit the MDClone Training Materials page for recorded tutorials. The MDClone datalake includes visits, conditions, surgeries, procedures, lab and microbiology results, medications ordered and administered, and much more! It is especially valuable for feasibility, research, quality, operational, and grant application needs.

During the MDClone 102 Session, you will learn:

  • Combined events
  • Advanced filtering
  • Custom expressions
  • Common pitfalls of time relation
