This seminar, led by Rosie Dutt, PhD, Science Communication Educator & Specialist at WashU, will explore how AI can enhance science communication while keeping humans in the loop, acting as a reflective partner to help researchers see patterns, clarify thinking, and improve their writing. Attendees will learn practical workflows for using AI tools to draft, edit, organize content, and create visuals, while considering ethical implications and avoiding common pitfalls. By combining AI’s capabilities with human judgment, participants can strengthen clarity, accuracy, and engagement in day-to-day scientific communication.
This event is hosted by the Center for Health and Science Communication at Becker Library. #SciComm Seminars is a free seminar series featuring expert guests from the WashU community and beyond, discussing topics related to all aspects of science communication.
This event is open to all, but registration is required. The Zoom link will be provided before the event.
