The UIDP Industry-Integrated PhD (I-PhD) Scholars Program is a $47 million national pilot funded by the National Science Foundation. The U.S. pilot is designed to strengthen science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) doctoral education by integrating sustained industry research experience into dissertation-based PhD training.

Corporate and Foundation Relations team is hosting a virtual information session to review the program requirements and discuss how Corporate Engagement can support the industry engagement process. The session will be recorded for those unable to attend. Registration required.

Key program elements include:

• University support for Year 1, followed by joint NSF and industry support for Years 2–4
• A dissertation-based research project jointly defined by the faculty member and industry partner
• Joint academic and industry mentorship
• At least one year, in aggregate, of dissertation-integrated research at an industry site
• National cohort activities and industry-focused professional development
• Eligibility limited to U.S. citizens and permanent residents
