Effective: October 1, 2025
Most federal sponsors require information about other support available to senior/key personnel. This information is disclosed on the Current and Pending (Other) Support document. Sponsors request this information to evaluate project personnel’s capacity to perform the project, and to confirm that there is no scientific, budgetary, or commitment overlap.
Current and Pending (Other) Support is defined as all resources made available to the individual in support of and/or related to all research endeavors, regardless of whether or not they have monetary value and regardless of whether or not they are based at WashU. Current and Pending (Other) Support does not include training awards, prizes, gifts that do not support research, or start-up support from WashU.
As a condition of submitting proposals to and/or accepting federal awards, project personnel must abide by all sponsor proposal guidelines and award requirements. This includes following all certification and disclosure requirements for Current and Pending (Other) Support.
Training Requirements
The Current and Pending (Other) Support Disclosure online training must be completed by a) all individuals named as senior/key personnel on a proposal to or award received from a federal agency and b) research administrators with the role of DA I or DA II.
Training must be completed within 60 days. Senior/key personnel on NIH proposals or awards must complete training prior to submitting Current and Pending (Other) Support during Just-In-Time (JIT) or for any RPPRs due on or after October 1, 2025. Any new senior/key personnel must complete the training within 60 days of being added to the award.
The training will be automatically assigned to all faculty paid by sponsored funds. The Office of Sponsored Research Services (OSRS) will verify successful completion during JIT and/or prior to submitting an RPPR. Training must be completed before DA I and DA II roles will be granted in RMS.
