The WashU Research Seed Grant program supports cross-school, interdisciplinary research activities in the pursuit of competitive external funding. Designed to provide funding for interdisciplinary research of the highest caliber, there are three grants in the program for teams at various stages of the research trajectory, from those in the nascent stages to those launching complex, university-wide research initiatives.
Housed in the Research Development Office within the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, the WashU Research Seed Grant program originally launched as a part of the Here and Next Strategic plan in 2023.
All active opportunities are housed in WashU’s InfoReady site. Within each listing you will find the application portal, the call for proposals, review criteria, and other information about the opportunity such as the submission deadline or schedule. All WashU users can login with their WashU key.
Please email researchseedfunding@wustl.edu with any questions about these programs or InfoReady.
